Transferred benefits
Transfers are generally approved by DoD during qualifying military service, not newly created through VA after separation. Eligible family members use their own account and VA Form 22-1990e ↗.
Fry Scholarship
A separate benefit for qualifying surviving spouses and children in certain service-related death situations; not interchangeable with DEA.
Yellow Ribbon
Additional school/VA funding in eligible circumstances, usually tied to 100% Post-9/11 benefit eligibility and a participating institution.
